We were very pleased with the Santiam Tree Service who cut down our 60 year old fir tree that had root rot fungus. The tree was in our backyard with tight access. They were quick to give a bid, respond and very professional. The crew were hard-working and pleasant to work with. They saved the stove size branches and hauled away all of the limbs. They saved some sections for me so I could get wood turned. It was a breezy and rainy day, but it didn’t hold back the crew from getting the job done. This company has been around for a long time and the original owner was the one who cut down our other fir tree 25 years ago. I highly recommend them!
Santiam Tree Services Inc just completed a huge project on our animal rescue sanctuary, clearing out downed trees, chipping branches, grinding stumps and filling holes. This IS the best our property has ever looked! Hats off to the owner, our representative for the job and the wonderful crew who came, saw, and conquered a haphazard mess into a park-like setting! I have never been so pleased and grateful for all of your help, we could have never done this without you! Highly recommend Santiam Tree Service, we got several quotes and they were the best price and had a similar lead time as other companies. Cole was excellent to work with from the quoting process clear through the job itself, they removed two large oak trees next to our house and shop which required a crane rental which they scheduled with Mike Adams construction, very professional crew and they went above and beyond and cleaned my shop roof and driveway of sawdust and debri at the end of the job as well. Excellent work at a great value, highly recommend!

Over the last few years, Hank and crew have removed several trees from around the Scio Historical Society grounds that were causing issues. The work has always been professional, timely and done with care. Thank you for your support of our museum and park.
Santiam Tree Service is my go-to for tree removal and stump grinding. Hank and his crew are the best! I’ve used them for a number of major projects on my land from 2017–2022. Highest recommendation.
We had the crew cut down two trees, old oaks. One was simple, the other one growing in two directions with an oak tree to be saved right in the middle. One direction was over a greenhouse, an undergrowth was rhododendrons. The arrived at 7:30 started about 8 and worked till they were done. It was interesting to watch them work, especially as one was more experienced and seemed to be teaching another so he would explain cable placement and angles of force, etc. At the end of the day, the greenhouse was never ever close to being compromised and the rhododendrons , though they had logs/ trunks on them they had been placed so gently, there was no harm done.
All day they were polite to each other. No yelling arguing, and they worked as a team. At the end of the day, they topped another tree to make a wildlife tree.
This was 100% a positive experience and we will use them again.
I have used Santiam Tree Service for multiple stump grinding projects. Most recently for two large oak stumps at Regis High School. The quality of the work is always excellent, and I would hire them again without hesitation. Hank and Sam are a pleasure to work with.

The crew was on- time and ready to work at our designated start time, they completed the task of removing 6 trees in about 3 hours (2 hours ahead of time!?!), communicated any pertinent info. And they were more than happy to answer any/all questions. They even offered ear plugs if we wanted them!? Value for dollar this is the tree company anyone should be using!!!! Once done they even took the time to come ask if we were satisfied with the end results and to make sure everything was left in a clean orderly manner. They really went the extra mile!! Cole and his team were amazing. Huge tree needed to be removed and some birch trees trimmed from the storm. Whole crew showed up and several trucks. Great service and a professional experience.
During the February 2021 ice storm we had three trees come down onto the street and some big limbs on our roof. I called them at 6:45am and 90 minutes later they arrived and cleaned up the trees very fast and efficiently. I was totally amazed at their speed since the entire area was desperate for tree assistance because of the ice.
We had a tree come down during the ice storm and it fell on the car. They were at our place within an hour and removed the tree and cleared some other branches for us. Very professional and fast.
Hank and his crew were the only ones up to the task, and we were extremely happy with the process and the result. We had enormous Lombardi poplar (we’re talking 130 feet tall) that were very hazardous to the home. Some had already started dropping limbs. The crew worked efficiently to scale the trees and begin taking pieces down, before bringing in a crane to gently and safely take the rest down. It went off without a hitch. It was a big endeavor, and everything was well organized from the start. But the biggest selling point for us was Hank’s professionalism. When taking on a big project like this, it’s so important to have someone who’s easy to communicate with, and is able to clearly explain what will happen.

We’ve used Santiam Tree Service to take down a tree and remove a LOT of bushes. Both jobs were done in a very efficient manner, cleaned up impeccably well, and for about 1/3 the cost of other quotes! ! One company told us it’d be a 3 day job – Santiam was here less than one day. Don’t waste your time calling anyone else!
